Description
Join our two-part workshop as we explore how to use Microsoft Teams! We'll explore how MS Teams can help you communicate, collaborate, and synchronize with Blackboard.
What is Microsoft Teams?
Microsoft Teams is a communication platform that simplifies collaboration through features such as chat, video conferencing, file sharing, and task organization. With the ability to schedule and host virtual meetings or classes, users can effortlessly conduct real-time discussions with colleagues or students. Its user-friendly interface allows for seamless scheduling, various multimedia resources during meetings, and integration with other Microsoft Office tools, enhancing the efficiency and interactivity of remote or hybrid work and learning environments.
Day 1: Tuesday, April 30th, 12:00 PM 50 Min
By the end of this training, you will be able to navigate Microsoft Teams, utilize its core features for effective communication, and master the scheduling and management of virtual meetings and classes to foster real-time, interactive discussions with your students.
Day 1 Learning Objectives:
Getting to Know MS Teams: Explore the main communication features of Microsoft Teams.
Virtual Meetings: Schedule and host virtual meetings/classes for real-time chat with your students.
Day 2: Thursday, May 02, 2:00 PM 50 Min
You will learn how to share files and integrate third-party tools within Microsoft Teams, optimizing online collaboration. Additionally, you will focus on synchronizing Blackboard rosters with Teams and enabling effective asynchronous communication and coordination.
Day 2 Learning Objectives:
Collaboration Made Easy: Learn how to share files, use third-party tools, and make the most of additional features to collaborate effectively online.
Syncing with Blackboard: Learn to sync your Blackboard course with Microsoft Teams for efficient asynchronous engagement. Students can export their Learn calendar, including Teams chat sessions, into their Outlook calendar.
To make the most out of this workshop and ensure a comprehensive learning experience, we recommend that participants attend both sessions as they are designed to be in succession; however, participants may attend either session.
