Description

The Blackboard Ultra Lunch & Learn Roadmap is an interactive event designed to provide faculty with an abbreviated overview of Ultra’s future development and to gather their feedback about how Ultra is used to support their teaching and learning. Sponsored by Instructional Technology and Anthology, the parent company of Blackboard, the roadmap will be available to attendees in both virtual and in-person formats.

Session Objectives:
  • Demonstrate the upcoming Ultra development
  • Facilitate a collaborative dialogue between faculty and Anthology representatives
Please take a few minutes to complete this pre-event survey by February 14, 2024 to help us tailor the upcoming Lunch & Learn Roadmap session to your needs and interests. Your responses will guide the focus of the roadmap presentation and discussion.

This session will be hyflex, allowing participants to choose whether they attend in-person or virtually. Lunch will be provided for in-person attendance. Space is limited for in-person and unlimited for virtual: Please indicate how you will attend so we can plan accordingly. All registered participants will receive a calendar invitation from the event host at least one week before the event.

JOINING THE SESSION VIRTUALLY

The virtual component of this roadmap will use Webex. Select the "Join Online Event" button in myUMBC to access the Webex session up to 10 minutes before the event.

  1. Check your audio and video settings. Participants will be muted during the session with access to chat and Q&A.
  2. Access the event link via myUMBC.

Please note: UMBC is committed to creating an accessible and inclusive environment for all faculty, staff, students, and visitors.  If you would like to request accommodations (e.g., ASL interpreters, captioning, wheelchair access, etc.) for this event, please notify us at least two weeks prior to the event. Requests received after that time cannot be guaranteed, but we will do our best to make arrangements for program access. Please contact the event host (instructionaltechnology@umbc.edu) with your specific request and be sure to include the event title, date, and time.

Automated closed captioning for virtual events is available via the Webex desktop and mobile applications. All recordings are uploaded to Panopto with captioning enabled.
