New Faculty Orientation to Blackboard Ultra – Online Event

For new faculty who may be teaching with Blackboard Ultra for the first time, getting started may feel overwhelming. During this orientation, Instructional Technology staff will review the basics of Ultra to ensure your course is ready the first day of the semester.

Content

Create modules and modules
Upload content
Externally link to cloud storage

Communication

Add instructor contact information
Post announcements and send student emails
Create discussion boards

Gradebook

Create and grade assignments
Set up the grade book to match your grading schema

At least 10 registrants are needed for this session to proceed as scheduled. The session will be recorded and the link distributed to all registrants.

JOINING THE SESSION

This webinar will take place in a Google Meet virtual conference room. Enter the webinar up to 15 minutes before the start time. Visit the myUMBC event post and select the "Join Online Event" button to join the Google Meet session.
