Description

Are you interested in learning how to create video screencasts? Using Panopto, faculty can capture and narrate anything they see on their computers, and then publish an online screencast video tutorial or mini-lecture for students to watch and replay on their own time. Panopto provides multiple recording and editing options for creating accessible video and audio output and a cloud-based video storage platform for new and pre-existing media content.  Session topics include:
  • Getting started with Panopto
  • Launching Panopto from your Blackboard course
  • Recording videos using the Panopto application or browser-based capture tool
  • Creating videos by uploading your own media content
  • Creating videos that are fully accessible

Participants should have access to a computer that meets minimum system requirements and have the Panopto recorder pre-installed.

The session will be facilitated by Peter Ariev, Instructional Design Specialist.

To RSVP for the event, please click “Going” below and be sure to add the event to your calendar! Registered participants will also receive a calendar invitation from the event host before the event.

The session will be recorded and the link will be distributed to everyone who registered. All recordings are posted to the Instructional Technology Training Archive in Panopto.

Prior to the Event

  1. For the best viewing experience, we recommend using Chrome or Firefox, preferably the most recent updates to those browsers. Closing any unnecessary browser tabs will help conserve your bandwidth.
  2. If this is your first time joining one of our webinars, please review the requirements to use Google Meet. Learn how to connect your audio & video, change/blur your background, and use reactions. You can also review the accessibility support including live captions.
